Default sweet capture

It is rare for me to be able to slow this fellow down to take a good photo. I was wondering what you thought about the lighting. He was beside a window. And why is it so hard to get both eyes focused the same? Thank you for your comments.

Over all the focus is not sharp. Please post your exif data if may help tell if it is camera shake or dof. I'm leaning towards camera shake except the ridge of his shirt looks like it is in focus. Unfortunatly, there is a lot of noise and no detail in the shadow.

This is a sweet expression and fun capture but the overall color is throwing my off, its a bit toooo greenish blue, aspecially on his hair. I would recommend brightening up the shot overall and reducing the blueish tint. Other than that its a fun shot (:

Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS
Exposure: 0.013 sec (1/80)
Aperture: f/4.5
Focal Length: 105 mm
ISO Speed: 400

My guess would be camera shake. 1/80 isn't real fast for 105mm.

I am sorry I forgot to put the exif in. Here it is:
shutter speed 1/80 sec
no flash
105mm
F/4.5
ISO 400

I see what you are saying about camera shake. Hmmm. I have been reading a book called " understanding exposure". So I have been setting the shutter speed and aperture to get the correct reading. So I guess that is why the shutter speed is slow. I was going for dof so the apperture was small number. I will have to learn to adjust these things accordingly. Unless I want to tripod everything. Thank you for your input, this is how I learn. I think I will have to invest in photoshop also. I like the edit. Thanks again.

Could you have opened up your aperture anymore?
You could try facing him towards the window and putting yourself between the window and him. Obviously it wouldn't be the side lighting you are going for but the light would be more even and maybe your focusing would have been closer.
