Thumbs up Oly

I would like to ask about some input on that portrait.

What do you think of the composition?
Is it working as a shot?
Do you like the B&W?

Shot with my new D300
85mm f/1.8 @ 1.8
Shutter speed 1/60
No flash, only post processing is the B&W.

I think it works and I also like the B&W on this. I like the composition but I wonder if I would like it more if his whole left side was showing.

For what it's worth, I think it's a pretty cool portrait. I think the composition is a bit different and I like it a lot.

Thank you for the input.

@mpf777 - Having the whole face means that I would have to increase the distance from the model and what I like about this portrait is the feeling that you are very close to him.

I would suggest increasing the contrast.

Also, see the attached picture for something I found that could be changed. I didn't know how to word it, so I figured a visual representation would be much easier and effective.

The eye does look strange but that is because of the glasses. What can I do about it?

Well, right, it is because of the glasses, but it still looks funny. Haha.

You could lower the camera just a little bit so that the whole eye is visible through the lens of the glasses. Do you know what I mean?
