I think that when you tilt, if you tilt just a little it looks like an accident. I think that might be what is happening in this case. I think you could have done a more or none at all. You can still do this using a post processing program (photoshop or others). I like the image, the expression and how he's posed but for me it seems flat. If you have access to a program to edit, I would play with the levels and contrast....

When you say EXIF are you meaning ISO, Shutter speed etc? if so there are a couple of ways. 1 right click the image and hit properties. 2 open the image in Windows Photo gallery and hit File on the top left, then properties. There are many other ways but these are two off the top of my head. Oh' try tilting the image a little more and if you don't like it......Put it back completely level again.
