Brithday wishes

Hi guys! I was pretending to be a professional photographer at my friend's birthday party and caught what I thought is a lovely shot of her son, wishing fervently for some new Hot Wheels (not realizing you don't say your wishes outloud, LOL) during the Happy Birhtday.
I'm sorry there was a girl wearing neon pink behind him, not sure if I can crop her out though.
Any thoughts? I'm mostly practicing composition, since I have no clue on post production, but would appreciate any comments or insights you feel like giving!

I like the composition! The cake and fruit add nice color.

I would like to see the pink removed, I don't really process my shots so I can't help you with that =) The boy really can't be 35 yrs old was my first thought, so there must be a story. . . ? ?

The angle creates a lot of interest for me.
