First thing, you really need to ask a specific question as to what part of the image you want critique on.

Now that I got that out of the way.........

I love it. I'm not sure it would fall into a portrait, due to there being more landscape than model, but I think it's great.

Striking!

(It wouldn't let me post a monosyllabic response, but nothing else seemed to suit.)

Great shot. The only thing I would say is that the pose and hair in the face are not optimal in my opinion.

Thanks for the comments. It is much appriciated !

I did read the rules before posting, and somehow I managed to not notice the specific question part (how general can I make these questions?). I will fix this next time I post, and Ill try to save this one with a more specific question later now =D

I think it still fits in the portrait category, it certainly isnt a landscape shot, its just a portrait that uses the dramatic sky as a very important element =)

Is there anything particular you'd suggest changing about the pose, abarick? The hair was very tricky, this location is very high up (kind of a small mountain-thingy, used to be a castle here, actually, its a museum now =)), so it was very windy.

So I thought it best to use it, rather than try to avoid messing up the hair :=)

It's a great shot, one I would be proud of. I am ok with the pose I guess its her armpit that I don't like. Possibly you could have put her hand on her hip and formed a triangle with the arm. You can't do much about the wind but it would have been nice to see her face.

Thanks =) I did get a few reactions on the under arm, and I do have a few with hands on the hip pose. But I most admit, Im not a big fan of them! But Ill add it to this thread when I have edited it, I should have my workstation up 'n running again over the weekend, so expect an update ! =D

I would LOVE to see another pose, as you mentioned you have some.

Normally I yap at people for centering the subject, but this is a prime example of breaking the rules and rocking it! My eye goes straight to the model. Your lighting is stunning.

The reason I'd like to see another pose is because her raised arm just looks huge to me and way out of proportion; also, I'd love to see her face more. Not necessarily all of her face, but at least some.

All in all, VERY well done, and not something I've attempted as of yet, but would love to.
