Compositionally speaking, the background isn't doing a whole lot for the photo. Since this portrait is more of a head-and-shoulders portrait, I would like to see the background all one color. The pose looks a little awkward. It looks like she's leaning forward in an unnatural way. Perhaps a different pose would be more flattering. I think it would be better to not crop the top of her head out of the photo as well. And try to get her smile more pronounced; it looks like she's holding back.

The lighting could be a little more interesting. It looks a little flat. Did you use a hot-shoe flash on-camera, or did you just use the pop-up flash? Also, try evening out the light. The hair on the left side of the photo gets lost in shadow.

I don't think you need to do anything different in post-processing. The skin (texture and tone) looks great, in my opinion. The eyes look good - nice and sharp. I might use the burn tool on the outside of her irises just to give a little more depth, but that's just me nitpicking. Haha.

Nice photo!

what nate said and I'll add: if you like/want the left side in deep shadow, add some rim lighting to give it an edge so it has some separation. Overall very nice job and she is beautiful!
