Hi,
Been doing photography for a while now, and of evrything I can do. I took this of my son as a portrait shot for a Christmas pressy and wondered what if any thing is wrong with it in other photographers eyes. taken with a sony A350, sigma 70 to 300 lens, no flash, natural light and very little adjustment. Thanks http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2680/...a3e856f9d3.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2732/...559b7866a0.jpg

My comments are in the same direction of Photophix. They were appearing a bit dark, inneed of lightening and some sharpening. Not sure what the tree adds as it's hard to see the texture due to DOF/aperture used. The background Bokeh is nice though. I'm sure he'd thank you for a bit of cloning/spot healing to remove the obvious zit to the right under his lip,

Many thanks, all advice is taken on board and applied. I believe everthing is subjective but observations are always handy to see things that are not spotted.
thanks again
