Default what could have i done better?

This is a photo of my daughters i took couple of weeks ago. Loved it in color, but could not fix up up the white balance that was way off...

Wondering what i could have done better. Composition, camera settings, lighting?

Thank you very much for taking the time.

Great photo although the crop is a bit tight around the little ones chin, I also felt that your B&W conversion was somewhat off. The eyes on the big sister look a bit off, could be that you either dodged them to much or just a by product of the skin softening.

Armando

Exposure layer
B&W Conv layer
sharpening layer 23%
Drop shadow frame

Wow, thank you Armando.
It looks so much better now. Yes, i did dodge the eyes... And while i love softer B&W i always seem to go for a high contrast...

Really love your version. Thank you a lot.

As for cropping, if i remember correctly i didnt crop the photo. I think i got it wrong in framing as i was a bit rushed because my little one never sits still more then a couple of seconds.

Thank you.

Alexandra

Children and sitting still never seem to go together. I suffered that myself.
