Default Selective color

Thisi s just a not so good self portrite of myself I am very uncomfurtable in front of the camera. I trie selective color and I think I like it a little more. Im just not sure if there is anything else that might help the eyes pop a little more or make the whole picture as a whole flow better. Such as maybe somehow helping the discoloring towards the lower right chin. Well thank you.

Green eyes

Hi Vance,
Just for future reference, when asking critique, you should include your exif data per the forum rules.

I grabbed this pic's exif from flickr for you:
Exposure: 0.017 sec (1/60)
Aperture: f/4.0
Focal Length: 18 mm
ISO Speed: 100
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: Auto, Fired, Red-eye reduction

I like the color of your eyes, and in this image, the color is subtle, which is nice. My biggest issue with this capture is the hotspots from your flash; your cheek and nose are completely blown out. This in turns make the texture that actually appears elsewhere more obvious.

Perhaps try making a diffuser for your flash (coffee filter or clear film cannister) or bouncing your flash with a business card (or other white card stock).

I've done both of these and they work really well, especially when you're so close to your subjects.

Keep at it!

Yes, you can hold the whole filter in front of it, or cut a hole out for your lens, as seen here. Or any other creative way you think up.
