Default To Much?

Took this at the apple orchard of my wife. Trying for the warmer fall color look but also like the extra black too. Just got the 5000D two months ago and trying to learn as much as i can. Using in manual mode and sometimes manual WB. Tell me what you like, hate, need to work on, or any thing else. Thanks for any input.

i like the colors and you have very nice depth of feild. just the perfect amount of focus. its very warm but i think thats what you were going for. the only thing i'd suggest its maybe having her facing a little more towards the camera. the angle makes her eyes look a little funny. and her eyes could also stand to be a bit lighter but overall i like. nice!

Lovely shot. May I suggest noting what is in the background. I find the orange box distracting. I really like the bright colour and her interesting expression.

Great dof. But I would turn her head facing you a little more. Her eyes are bothering me. Especially the left one. Keep up the good work.

I love the DOF but I think it is too warm and borders on orange.

I think the angle of her face works good, but I'd have had her looking at a different angle. Then the eyes would look nicer.

The whole picture is a bit bright for me, I'd desaturate it a little or hit it with a cooling filter.

Thanks for the input. We were just walking around and took a quick pic. She does like pictures of her self so I try to catch her off gaurd. I was wondering if the color was to bright thats why i threw it on here. That day was kind of gloomy too. Now I just need to take some more pictures

I would definitely desaturate the entire image a little bit. The biggest issue for me is how blown out the right side of her face is, with no delineation between her nose and cheek. It is, however, a very nice candid. Keep up the good work.
