Nice photo.....i would move her a little bit to the right facing into the picture rather than out.

Here's my take on it:

From DPS

Great model. Love her eyes. The picture needed to be cropped. The rule of thirds helps in this but know when to break the rules.

The background could be exposed a bit longer to get a nice white background. This is done with a longer shutter speed.

I cropped the picture, desaturated her skin a bit and added a little pop to her eyes as well as get rid of the dark circles under them. There were a few miscellaneous touchups as well like very slight skin smoothing and blemish removal but she has almost perfect skin so that wasn't really a big deal.

Next time I'd open up the shutter a bit longer to get a white background and not have her slouch. Need to sit up straight or even leaning back. Think dynamic lines. Dynamic lines are usually diagonal.

My experience? I have an opinion and I shoot people hehe.

[QUOTE=PhotoPhix;735685]I tightened the crop a bit as she looked a bit slumped over, I also adjusted the tone and did a bit of unsharp mask.

Armando

Thank you very much

Thank you.
I did nothing to the picture, just posted it without any editing to get peoples takes on it.
I shall add some exposure to the background, or extract her to make a new one.
Thank you, I will let her know about the skin comments :P

thanks mate

I will. Thank you!

Here is my progress picture (if it works, It is saved .PSD)
Just noticed that her lips are too 'fake'.

And I am working on fixing the background. don't worry too much

but have a look.
Touhed up her eyes, lips, blemishes, even freckels, along with her bra strap. hair, shirt is black now. I tried using the Twirl tool in Liquify, and I have no luck as the bush is not big enough at 600, I had no luck selecting her and free transforming her face, so I'll let it be, then fix for next time. I cropped her, and will liquifiy some more tonight

Default good start

[Shaking head at "please be respectful" and the dig at teachers; now there's irony for you]

Agree about brightening it up, pose and tighter crops (might even try tighter still), but it is a nice capture of her, she is lovely.

Not sure what you mean by shaking your head

Nice shot mate.

As others have said her posture is what sticks out to me the most and the bra strap. Kind of what my eyes are drawn too. The earing I don't think is a problem. I am by no means a pro as this stuff and haven't even used photo shop to edit any of my own photos yet but just wanted to give ya some general feedback regardless.

Armando edit looks great.

Cheers
Mike
