I was trying to manifest child-like joy. Don't know if it worked, though. I like the lighting, though some may not.

I guess my question is...Was my attempted manifestation successful? And is it an all around good photo? Or no...?

I think you did capture that child-like image you were after. The lighting is good but I do think the image is just a little over exposed.

Cute idea! The picture doesn't seem to be in focus when I looked at the picture. I went back to your settings and your shutter speed was 1/20. That's really a slow shutter speed.....so I think that's why it's not in focus. Next time increase the shutter to avoid camera shake.

You definitely nailed the child-like joy, but it is over exposed.

The composition is great! I even like the fact that it is overexposed. And as far as your concept, I do think you achieved it. It is just a little too soft for my tastes. If you are using AF, try prefocusing on something in the area where you will be standing, then slide the switch on the lens to M.. It may help to lock in the focus if you are using the remote, or delay settings on your camera. Or try using just the single AF mode.
