I think I did a boo-boo! I did a maternity photo shoot for my cousin today, and I realized when I was editing that I accidentally cut ofs her hand at the wrist. I ended up cropping the photo to not make it look so weird.
Does the crop work? As well...what about the lighting? I feel her arm is really highlighted and blown out. Should I bring the brightness and contrast down? Thanks in advance for the feedback! ![]() Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi Exposure: 0.017 sec (1/60) Aperture: f/3.5 Focal Length: 50 mm ISO Speed: 400 Exposure Bias: 0 EV Flash: Off, Did not fire

I like the colours. Especially around mums arm because the hand is cut off, and the arm is so bright i dont notice that so much, It frames the dad nice. But her head looks really cut off because it doesnt have that same brightness at the shoulders as it does down the arm. If you know what i mean LOL
I reckon if you were able to lighten that top half a bit it would frame the dad a bit more. But its a beautiful pic, definatly somethign for the parents to treasure

Sweet picture.
One thing I really notice compositionally is that dad's head is between her breasts rather than on her bump. Maternity shots are all about the bump, his head should have been down closer to the bump IMO. Also, the crop on top should have been just above the shoulders rather than just below. The details in her arm are completely blown, so there was no saving in post. May I make the suggestion shown below (crop, adjust levels/curves and clone out daddy's thumb).

Nice Edit Naeno!.. the picture is now more enjoyable. i agree with everything naeno says (so listen to her lol) and the only thing i find distracting is the lighting on the father. How far along is she?...
Good job! good luck keep shooting
