Default First Wedding

Hey everyone! I recently shot my first wedding and found one of my favorite pictures, but for some reason it is missing something that I can't figure out. Any suggestions would be awesome.

Thanks!
Kuba

Well, I'm definitely a beginner.... (read:brand new) but the first thing I noticed was all the smoke. That's what really drew my attention. My maybe using a lower aperture setting to help blur that a little bit? Or maybe crop it down tighter around the couple?
Just a few initial thoughts I had, I'm sure someone that actually knows what they're talking about will chime in

Also not pretending to know it all,But yes i also find the smoke a tad distracting..The bride and groom are lost in the picture(if you know what i mean?)Too much other stuff going on around them..If some how you could have got rid of the people to the grooms left that would have opened the picture up a bit.And what is the groom looking at? Thats my 2 cents worth..Hope i helped

Just needed contrast adjustment:

Image>Adjustments>Shadows/highlights

Shadows:
amount 50%
tonal width 45%
radius 44 pixels

Highlights:
amount 67%
tonal width 65%
radius 46 pixels

regards, Ken

I think the edits that Ken did to it really make the picture 100% better and it's not so hard to see the couple!

I'm not sure how helpful this is, but what I see that would make a huge difference in the shot is if the B&G were looking at EACHOTHER instead of G looking off to the left an B looking strait ahead. Not that you had much control over that, but imagine that slight change. You know... like they loved eachother.

I think a bit of a tighter crop. Perhaps lose some of the bottom left and a touch of the top right?
