Default Girl on Wall

All right, having received a good bit of information on my first portrait, here's another one that the model particularly liked. I shot this with my 430EX set at -1EV as a bit of a fill, to lessen the harsh shadows from the hair over the face. So, what are the thoughts on lighting, framing, etc?

Specs:
Canon Digital Rebel
28-135mm IS USM @ 41mm
1/200
f/9
ISO 100

I like it, a lot. My personal taste, the girl is about 2/3 stops overexposed. I like more moody pictures where the girl doesn't necessarily stand out. Really, personal style/preference.

Great Job!

I think you did a good job with the lighting, subject is a little over exposed but not too bad. I would crop off about 20% of the image on the right. It is dark and does not contribute much to the overall image. The lines draw you interest into the shot and drop off in the darkness. You would still have enough negative space for the image to work.

In addition to the above, I would have found a clean (or cleaner) wall to shoot with as a background, or composed the shot with a shallow depth of field so that we couldn't read the writing. While perhaps more interesting than a plain brick wall (and way less cliche), I keep reading the graffiti and not paying attention to the girl.

Question Girl on Wall - over or under exposed

NOW , we have a good situation. As I can see both points of the over exposed -- underexposed positions. I am wondering how you brought the exposure up without continuing to overexpose or blow out the leg and the hair.

I'd have cropped some of the wall out.

I like Kens edit on the girl, but it brings out too much detail in the wall. Masking out the wall would have brought the girl out, but still left the wall darker.
