I've seen this done before so I want to try it. Do the feet hanging out of the frame look odd? Also, do you think the background is distracting? We were very limited in choice of background as it was a very crowded park. Any additional thoughts on post production would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes this is a neat idea. But, for this particular photo it isnt working for me. The photo is adorable but I thinkt he frame is too distracting.
It might work if maybe the boy was part inside the frame and part out of it. Giving it a 3-d appearance. Or better known as an OOB. (Out of Boundaries)

Windrider, thanks for your feedback. I agree with you. Although I like his expression and he looks very cute, the frame is not working to well in this case. Funny you say that about the 3D suggestion. I thought the same thing, tried it, and no dice. He kept wanting to play with the frame and I didn't get any shots out of it. Next time I think I will try a solid background. It's hard not to get disappointed because I so loved this idea! Practice makes...well, makes you better each time.
