Default First Time Post

Just looking for some advice, I have just bought a Sony A330 DSLR camera, and trying to learn more about photography. I took this photo in mid day with bright sunlight, is the lighting good? Thanks for your suggestions.

Camera: Sony DSLR-A330
Exposure: 0.002 sec (1/500)
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 55 mm
ISO Speed: 100
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: Off, Did not fire

The lighting does seem a bit harsh as she has lost some of the details on her face. Shooting in mid day will produce harsh shadows and lighting. If you must, try and find shade to photograph your subjects in. With that being said, you may also want to use fill flash to keep your subjects face fro being too dark. lol, if it's not one thing it's another isnt it!
Keep an eye out for your backgrounds, notice the 2 poles coming out of the top of her head?
