Default candid with the 50mm

Camera: Canon EOS 30D
Exposure: 0.013 sec (1/80)
Aperture: f/1.4
Focal Length: 50 mm
ISO Speed: 400

I don't really do many portraits.
are the focus and lighting ok?
Do you think it is a good shot or just a plain portrait shot?

I just lightened up the shadows and slightly sharpened the image.

I think the use of a reflector camera right to fill in some of the shadows would have been a benefit. The focus is good.

You can use white poster board for a reflector, it doesn't have to be anything more.
