Default Wet Evelyn

Shooting down by (in) the creek near Eugene, OR.. I got an idea for a somber mooded
wet shot... not a problem as the temps were in the high 90's. I used the banks of the creek
as a background to show a more natural environment.. but decide it was too busy... so wanting
to throw focus on Evelyn even more.. used my radial blur in Photoshop CS3.. does it work?

Did I do this thread correctly?? I'm new at this thread stuff.

Though I am definitely not an expert, I think you did a great job with the radial blur. Especially with the selection of your subject. Nice job!

You should add your EXIF information though per Critique rules.

Your photoshopping is a little messy. I can see distinct edges where you did the radial blur.

I suggest you try and create the image like that naturally (by zooming in on the subject during exposure) or try and make the zoomed areas and the focused areas blend seamlessly, as opposed to having a distinct boundary.

Desaturating the picture just a pinch may help with the strange colors happening.

Would like to see the original, the subject is great, good pose but it looses it "wet look" with the radial blur, if your going to that effort maybe just a softer background blur might have worked.
