Default Self Portrait

I took this a while back when I was just experimenting with the settings on my camera. I like it, but I kind of don't like it at the same time. I'm curious to see what other people think about it.

From America 2008

Thankyou very much

I am not a fan of it because it just does not work as an abstract. If you are going to have an image that is completely out of focus you really need to work on the composition of the light and dark areas of the image. Since that is the only thing that can hold a viewers attention and convey the message of your photo it needs to be deliberate. To me this image looks like you went to pick up your camera and accidentally hit the shutter release.

I agree with Rex. It is a tweener. Not quite composed for abstract. And not focused enough to be a portrait.

I don't think this image works at all. I would have deleted it.

I guess, when doing this kind of shot you must have some background added/ foreground, for all that matters. it makes the pic looks mysterious and interesting. Or pose the subject doing something in the blurr. perhaps.?
