Default Happy 4th soon! :) CC please.

This is a picture I took of my daughter, I have not posted in a while... How is the color, focus, and overall look of the photo? I tried to soften the photo a bit using a gaussian blur and layered it. Thank you for your time!

Canon Rebel XSI
F.stop F/5.6
1/90 sec.
ISO 200
No flash

The focus seems a bit too soft but then again that could be due to your G blur. If I use the G blur then I'll erase the eyes and lips from the G blur layer so the sharper focused eyes and lips show through. I'll also play around with the transparency of the blur layer as well until I like what I see.

I like the color and comp though.

Wow, her eyes sure sparkle! It's a little blurry for my tastes, and her face seems to be a bit overexposed. I wonder if that happened in post production? I really like your composition and angle here. This definitely belongs on the fridge at Grandma's!

Yes, the original is a better shot. Still soft on the focus but this image did not need any more blur.

Thank you I will stick to the original. I was actually trying to enhance the colors a bit lol but instead got a lot more blur.

Thank you all for the CC

Focus is something I have a hard time with hehe My own eyes are not in focus so im sure that doesn't help lol I am blind in one eye and the other eye is not so great either haha so anyway point is, it helps me a lot to get CC from you guys so that I can improve because I might not always see it as being out of focus right away.

I definitely like your original much better. The version posted on here has a magenta skin tone and the original has much better skin coloring. I am not a fan of soft portraits so that is another reason that I like the original better. There is a red color cast on the bottom of her face coming from the red bow. Overall, very cute shot. I love the catchlights in her eyes.
