An experiment using the monochrome settings in RAW.

I like high contrast, but do you think this is too much? Any other comments on composition or anything else would be appreciated. I haven't taken many portraits.

Camera: Canon EOS 450D
Exposure: 0.025 sec (1/40)
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 55 mm
ISO Speed: 100
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: Off

The composition is great in my opinion, I like that angle. I don't think the monochrome setting improves this photo. Since you did shoot in RAW, maybe if you step down the exposure by a stop and see what you think of that.

i prefer it black and white... i love the angle...

Thank you. I did a couple of colour versions, which are safe enough, but wanted to see how far I could push the monochrome settings...
