little one

i was wondering for a portrait if i converted it with too much white and not enough darkness?



Camera: Nikon D40
Exposure: 0.002 sec (1/500)
Aperture: f/5.3
Focal Length: 35 mm
Focal Length: 35.6 mm
ISO Speed: 400
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: No Flash

I think its a bit overboard myself.

It seems more overexposed than high key to me.

What was the unedited image like?

I like the first one better than the second one, but I agree with WooD that it is a little much. Can you back the brightness off a hair?

First one stings your eyes and the second one is too dark around her neck and chin and looks like she has a dirty shirt.
How are you making the conversion to b&w?
this Image would look nice as a pencil sketch,I would try again somewhere in between!

This photo is in the critique section,I don't want to seem harsh but if this is for learning NO. sorry the pencil sketch has a little too much noise and the second B&W With VIN,is a Whole new image,I thought you where going for arty?You need to concentrate on one image style,I would have liked to of seen the original post fixed.
