Hi Deepak_Roy, welcome to DPS!

You might want to read the "Critique Forum Rules". In the meantime, I added some info and put a link to your second image.

I like the pose on both of them but the out of focus foreground items are too distracting. The black and white is much better than the color IMO.

I agree with mmeyer on all counts! Foreground is very distracting, love the black and white!

Thanks for the help Saralonde. I just read the forum rules.
Actually I prefer the B&W picture...actually both pictures had a glass of beer as the foreground and I was trying to look over the rim of the glass. The first pic got a lot more of the glass.
I think I'll rather remove this one and concentrate on the B&W pictures.
Thanks for the comments guys

Hey Deepak,

Welcome to DPS..

I prefer the BW for sure... I agree the background is busy...

Just a thought - Dont restrict yourself to B/W pictures... The treatment of a photo will depend on the mood you would like to give to the photo... Colors also make great photos...

Have fun!

yeah the thing is, any portrait picture in black & white will immediately tend to look better.
so I guess, the real challenge would be to shoot a portrait in full colour.
I do have the same picture in colour though, because I shot in RAW mode. I'll try to send a link later.
I need to get more models to practise.
Thanks once again for the feedback.
