I think the idea of the picture is good. My eye keeps being drawn from the subject to the bright area on the right. I'm not sure if a crop would work without taking away from the feel of the picture though...

I would crop it so more of the front of the bus is visible. Also, did you use a strong unsharp mask? It looks like there is a bit of halo around the driver's arm that makes it look like he was photoshopped in.

it's hard to put a finger to what "feels off".....i really like this image......i like how clear the driver's eyes are.......i like the kid in the back jumping over the seat.....it's like there's chaos on this bus and there's no one in charge.....certainly not the guy with a popsicle moustache....
that light bouncing around the scene is striking.......pouring in from the opposite side of the bus......flowing in through the windshield.......and how on earth is it bouncing up from the floor......it's everywhere and i like it...... my eye says an improvement could come in the way of a crop off the top......there's a dark area.....probably the shed it was in......that doesn't quite match the rest of the scene....it's throwing a shadow on an otherwise well lit bus....with that gone. i think all that great light would look intentional..... great image..... ![]() peeper |

I really like this shot.
Just seems that the boys skin tone is over exposed. maybe you can do something with this in photoshop. I don't know anything about photoshop. If you can't the shot stands on it's on anyway. good work. |

The light was coming from the back and bounced up from the white concrete underneath the the guy with the popsicle mustache.
I wish I had more of the front of the bus too. But I didn't grab it. The top is the luggage carrier. About the light, we were under a canopy and it was about 2 in the afternoon. There was light everywhere. I can actually tell how far in the day a picture is by comparing to others because the people getting redder from sunburn. Not my family though we were protected with sunscreen. Here's the unedited jpg. sooc. Thanks for all the comments. As always this crowd is great company.
