Default Boom, Headshot!

This is a close in portrait I took for the make up artist I worked with yesterday.

Boom, headshot.

Camera: Pentax K110D
Exposure: 0.008 sec (1/125)
Aperture: f/8.0
Focal Length: 43 mm
Focal Length: 43.0 mm
ISO Speed: 200

Specifically I'm wondering if you all think the fill light was insufficient and if the hair light was too subtle. I did want it darker that maybe normal because I wanted, for lack of a better way to phrase it, the color to just explode out of the darkness.

Shot with my Alien Bees close in above on camera right, Metz 48 flash gridded behind on camera left at about 45 degrees from model.

I know you were going dark, but I would have liked to seen a touch more light on her right eye.

Stunning work, model, and MU.

The shadow on her right eye, makes it look like she is walleyed... other than that, good shot.

The shot is great and the lighting is ok but given the amount of work that must have gone into those wild eyelashes I would have liked to see more of them. A panorama of the eye would be fantastic, also a slight turn to the right would have thrown more light on her right eye giving more detail.
