The girl on the photo looks very colourful. Unfortunately, the photo itself is a little bland. You didn't give us any information on the white balance setting you used, but I guess it's set to automatic, which is killing for bright and full colours. Experiment with different settings, so that you know which setting you need for which effect.
The photo isn't really sharp, probably due to camera shake. Next time include information about the focal length you used - your lens has a huge range, so we don't know which zoom you took the photo at. I think the photo would have been more appealing if the girl looked into the camera. She probably blinked due to the pre-flash.
