Question What could I have done better?

Did a shoot today... I have a Sony point and shoot... What could I have done better?

Arrow My 2 cents...FWIW

Generally, I think it's a cute shot. The angle works for the most part (see below), and she has a nice expression. I think the exif data may help me suggest ways to have done it better, but based on what I see, here's my thoughts:

*the focus is very soft on the entire image. I'd like to see her eyes/face much sharper.
*it's a little on the dark side, maybe slightly underexposed. I think it could be brightened up some.
*her eyes could use some post work. the whites are pinkish (at least on my monitor) and it appears she has blue eyes, which could be brought out more.
*with more DOF, I think she'd stand out from the background more.
*with regard to the crop/angle, my only problem with it is that it's difficult to differentiate between her hair and what may very well be the fur trim of her coat hood. Or is that all hair?

I don't mean to be overly critical. I too am searching for feedback on my portraits, so based on comments I get and see a lot, these are things I tend to look at in my own shots.

I agree with Sandeewig. I think it is a bit underexposed and it could be a little sharper especially on her face. Besides that, espcially for a P&S, it's a great shot!

I love the angle, I love the crop. I agree with Sandeewig: it is a bit dark, so I'd play with exposure/brightness ... I also agree on DOF. Personally, it feels a bit monochromatic to me ... maybe some deeper color on the lips?
