I like it...the fact that I can see one girls feet but not the other bothers me for some reason but I think that is my own issue

Personally I would like to see more space above their heads rather than below, (simple fix in PP).

And since kelleyrie mentioned it, I do notice the feet thing more as well :\

It looks like there are some harsh shadows on the right side of their faces, your light was up and to the left no? Maybe a reflector to highlight those areas
-noticeable by their noses, and their eyes. More significant on the woman with the skirt, also a bit of shadow under her hair.

If not a reflector, maybe a very low fill flash?

I would agree with KodiakStar - there's not enough room above their heads.

Also it sort of feels off balance to me and that could well be because we can see more of the girl on the right than we can of the lady on the left (ie. her legs/feet).

But other than that, I like it!

Yeah, I agree with the above comments... the photo seems off balance and maybe a little too dark?

I think that it is a little off center , and if you made it so u can see the other girls legs it would help cause to me it looks like shes floating next to her, but besides that the picture is good and i like the idea!

Thank you for your constructive feedback.

This shot came from my first attempt at family photo session, only had one light (softbox) to camera right. I agree that a reflector would have helped. My wife had black boots on and had her legs tucked in by her side not a good choice with the black background. I also agree with the comment to have more space above their heads which I will do in PP.

Second crop looks much better, I would take it a little further and crop out the ladies shoe on the right.
