My first post - Picture of my gorgeous daughter :)

Hello! Im totally scared to do this but Im going to anyways.

This is a picture of my daughter. Just a spontaneous photo shoot in the middle of homeschooling I get a lot of feedback from friends but Im curious what other photographers think....I love this picture but something about it bothers me so I want to see if its obvious or not!

It's a really cute shot.

The lighting is the thing that jumps out to me. The right side of her hair is perfectly lite. It brings out great golden red highlights, where the left side looks really drab.

You seem to have lost most of the detail in those huge cute eyes too.

It's still a nice shot, those are just the things that I think keep it from being a great shot.

thanks. yes, I dont like how different her hair looks on each side. the original isnt like that, its my very unexperienced use of GIMP *blush* Ill work on it again. (in the original it IS warmer on her right side but not nearly as different)

her eyes are DARK. They are a challenge for me. Again, I worked on them in GIMP but I hardly know what Im doing

Love, love, love those eyes of hers! If she could turn a little toward the light, her eyes will lighten some. BTW, great job homeschooling, from one homeschooler to another!!!

maybe if you removed that little bit of blue color cast in her eyes they would "pop" a bit more?

but a gorgeous shot!
