On our vacation recently I found my daughter staring out of the balcony glass door admiring the waves on the beach. She looked cute with her nose stuck in the glass and I thought the reflection in the glass would make an interesting composition.
(Click for EXIF) What do you think of this composition? I shot in the 'Portrait' mode, should I changed it Apperture mode? (I'm still not compfotable with the Manual Mode). I would have loved to focus just on just her eye, and have that be the sharpest in the image but I dont get much Bokeh with my bridge camera, so ...............Is the lighting OK?

Hi newPerspective,
What a beautiful capture of your daughter! To me, since color is not a key point of this shot, what little color there is is distracting to me. Everything seems to have a blue-ish tint (from the window?). Anyway, I wanted to see what it looked like in black and white, so I converted it and tested different filters. I like best what a red filter did at 60%. It created a wonderful contrast between her dark hair and what we really want to focus on--the face. I then added a slight vignette to help darken the lightness in her shirt (lower right) and really like the feeling it added to the entire shot. Any way you look at it, however, it is definitely a shot I wish I had of my little girl. Good eye and execution. Debbie

And Sukanta, thank you for your suggestion. I did try focussing on the eye in the reflection, but wasn't getting the affect I was hoping for, since wasnt sharp enough and I have the limitation of significantly blurring out the background/forground with my camera, so I had settle for this. I do appreciate it though, thank you.
