Question First time

Keith

I'm participating in the 100 strangers project (http://www.100strangers.com). This is my second stranger. I obviously did some post processing in Lightroom. I like the effect but I'm wondering if it's too much. I'm also wondering how this works in general? Good portrait? Should I have composed better? Thoughts and criticism greatly appreciated.

Tech: Shot with a Canon Rebel XTi and a 50mm f1.8 lens. Going for a gritty tough look.

Thanks!

I really like this. I think the only thing that would make it better is if the background wasn't so bright.

I think you did good, but I think background kinda ruins the gritty feel.

I don't mind the background at all, I think it's a great photo. Well done on signing up, I am a member of the group, but haven't participated yet

Nice portrait but I'm not keen on the PP you did on the background. Makes him look pasted on.

Dig it. I would love to see this toned to one color and give it that daguerreotype look.
