Default Baby's world

A lot of friends and family have recently been having children, so I've been taking a lot of photos for them. I know photos of infants can be tough, not much you can really do with them. But I've been trying. I've been trying to get down with them and get a unique shot.

What are the thoughts on this photo? I didn't do much with PP. I'm a beginner at this, so please feel free to give me any advice you think of. Thanks.

Hi Rossi. Though I like your intentions for framing this shot, I think there are too many distractions: the bird, the edge on the left (is that the archway/waterfall on the bouncy seat?), and also his (err...her?) pacifier. If the baby was looking more directly at the camera, it might work a little better, but with this angle you don't even really get a clear look into his eyes. It also seems a bit red overall to me too.

Keep trying! It can be a challenge to get good ones of babies, patience is a virtue, as they say. But well worth it to capture their sweet little smiles that come out of nowhere! And it sounds like you have no shortage of little models, which is always a good thing!

i agree its too busy. it seems a little dark/underexposed.

getting down on their level vs. shooting down at them will help give you a more unique shot.
