Thank you for your imput...:-)) I played with the contrast and it brings out the details of her face better... Unfortunately the background is pretty bad. My lens has its 'sweet point' at aperture 5.6 and I couldn't get it any blurier... I could have augmented the focal length tough...:-)

Another way to improve the background in future shots is to make sure the background is more solid and less distracting than what you have there. Shoot with a hedge behind the subject so that there's a solid green leafy background that doesn't compete for attention.
Here just like Dr. Wood say a blur would work but as it is a "head shot"... maybe a closer crop to fill the frame with you daughters lovely face would do it?
