Hi there,
There's sometime since I submit a pic here, rarelly shoot portraits but I see this couple since I enter the park and they was so syncronized, so harmonized I cannot resist to capture them. Besides the shadow on her face... what else can I do better? ![]() Camera Canon EOS 20D Exposure Time 0.0008s (1/1250) Aperture f/3.5 ISO 100 Focal Length 28mm (44.8mm in 35mm) Flash flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode Exposure Program portrait mode Exposure Bias 0 EV Exposure Mode auto White Balance auto

I might clone out the boat by their heads... I think it a bit distracting.
I really like the B&W conversion. Nice and contrasty

Thanks for the feedback, I'll try it but I'm not sure how it would look, the trail is way to large... ![]() Thanks for looking.

I think it would be hard to clone it out, cloning water can be difficult to get it to look right.
You could try a drastic crop right above their heads so you just half the bottom half as a kind of panaroma. |

Why is there so much empty space behind them? It doesn't really make sense in this context, since they're facing the outside of the frame. The background is a bit distracting, maybe a tighter crop (or even a wider composition) or wider aperture would help there.

The space behind them is for their shadows. I'll try a tighter crop. Thanks for your feedback.

Yeah, the shadow on her face does bug me. I like the negative space to the left. I wish they weren't so close to the edge on the bottom and right. And I'd place their faces higher in the frame (you could do so by cropping the image some).
