Default Marble & Mage

Someone asked how her name is pronounced. It's Maggie, but she spells it Mage like Mag "e"

Anyhoo, here is a portrait for ya. Does the neutral, marble background work? How about the muted tones?

Default Colors and stuff

Hi there!

I love her red hair against the gray background, so that works for me quite well, though I wish her hair was down to show off it's richness. One thought for critique is that the handrail in the background is in an, er.., unfortunate place on the subject's body. It's hard to watch for all of those details. I think a headshot against that background and with her muted toned shirt would work better (cropping attempt?). Her jeans are very similar to the background, so I think they get a bit lost and the handrail is more accentuated because of it. There's my two bits, hope it was helpful to you or gave you something to think about in future shots.

Yes, thank you. I would have cloned the handrail, but it would look awkward, like she was leaning back on nothing

Try no sunglasses, no purse, arms doing something less closed off, her leaning against marble or just a few feet in front, black shirt, dark jeans or black dress.
Can you tell I can see it???
The marble is very nice. I want a building like that here!

Also turn her body more profile, shoulders turned to you, head cocked slightly, will provide a nicer look. That is if my head is visualizing what I think it is...

I also like the marble and her red hair. The accessories do not bother me - makes it more of a casual photo. And the arms crossed give attitude (not sure if that is the intent...) I just wish I could see her shoes - they are cut off and the cloning of the railing is a better choice than leaving it in (I think) (I don't want anything coming out of my rear...lol) you could always rotate the photo a few degrees and then clone the blank areas of you are worried about her leaning. I "think" that might work

We have no building like that. That was taken 1000km (600 miles) from home

I really love the marble background and the 'attitude' with the arms folded and all. The muted colors are good but as said above, the jeans do get a little lost in the picture , for me the floor also detracts from the overall shot. I would have liked to see her standing a little closer to the wall so that less of the floor appears in the shot. It may have also changed the angle of the hmmm er hand rail!

Since that rail is a problem, how does this sound, what if I duplicate it so it doesn't stop, but continues to her left?
