And also taken a year and four months ago! Curious why you waited so long to worry about it.

I've seen that some of my older shots were more pleasing than the latter ones, especially with portraits, so I've been doing some digging.

Ahhh... I remember that one shot you posted form a ways back. I thought it was your best to date.

Just wondering, carry on.

I don't really mind the sunglasses and the purse. It gives it a casual feel, which it should. But that rail coming out of her butt looks terrible. I don't think you could clone it with a lot of sucess. I did a couple of quick and dirty edits. See what you think about these.

I like what lissykeeper did.
If nothing else, this critique section allows a person to learn composition problems, which they might not be able to correct, other than how lissykeeper did it; so that in future shots, some of these problems can be corrected before shooting. I know that after the fact, you're a bit confined on composition.

Wow, that's one impressive telephoto lens.

Lissykeeper's edit fixed some problems, both the hand rail and the edge coming up from her head. She did also crop the lower part in a more pleasant way, that is, not at a joint (which is a rule of thumb). I do also like the more contrasty look and the richer color saturation.

These are the points I thought needed a fix in the original. I must also admit I don't like the pose. Was it a snapshot or planned? Because I think she looks a little tight/uncomfortable (her hands crossed, tight hair, sunglasses and the lips). But that's just my personal preference. I see that other people like it.
