Cool Innocent Smile

This is a picture I took my niece a coulpe of days ago during her outside mini pool fun. Te I like to know if anything is wrong with saturation of color, brightness? I believe my compostion is good, I think the emotion is great. Please critique.

Great smile. This is clearly a girl having a good time. As far as the brightness goes, I think there is a challenging contrast between too much light (her right cheek, chin, etc) and too little light (her left eye). Maybe try with a bit of flash to lighten up the darker areas and a bit smaller aperture to lessen the overall brightness.

Take my thoughts with a grain of salt as I am very new at making photographs instead of pictures.
