Default First photo shoot

Here is a first school picture I did. I did touch up on some of her blemishes. Wondering what other things I should do for next time.

Did you have her standing in front of a regular wall? If so (or even if it's a back drop) if you place them further away from the background it gets blurry so you can't see the details or cracks in the paper, or rips or dimples, etc... : )

Yeah, you can see some of the wall texture in the photo.

Unless that's what you want (which is totally fine), maybe next time just try a few away from the wall and see what you think.

White balance looks blue to me.

I'd take down the blemishes significantly further unless the client requested otherwise. My philosophy is that transient skin issues should be removed but permanent issues (moles, scars, whatever) should be left in (though occasionally reduced in impact).

Vignetting is a bit heavy and sharp for my taste.

Expression looks a bit forced as well.

The smile is the way she smiles. I thought I had taken the blemishes out but they must not have been saved.
