Correction: It is a 80-200 F2.8 D MACRO ED (77) 35MM SLR AUTO FOCUS ZOOM TELEPHOTO LENS and they now are about $450 used. I use a d300s and don't like to push past ISO1200 unless I absolutely have to and this lens will make that capable in low light for well under $1000.
