Children on July 4th

I was digging through some old photos last night, and found this shot from July 4th. I'd like critique on the brightness and colour of the image, as well as the pose I caught these children in.

I am not sure if I like this pose, but I would like other people's critique to let me know what you all think.

I quite like the pose, although I reckon it'd look better with more space around them.

The colours I find are waaay too oversaturated. The grass is fluorescent!

Agree with Emma, this is too saturated. You need to be careful with saturation, esp with the greens and red as this does not go well if you print. Especially if there are faces which will pick up green overcast if the background is oversaturated with green like this one.

Composition needs help. I would have taken this shot behind them, with the pavement or sidewalk leading the line towards where they are going. I would have also stepped back to get the whole scene in and not chop the tires off the frame.
