Works really well for me. Great tones in the PPing.

Two niggles.

First, the eyes are a touch too much for me. You have them warm, muted tones and the eyes just don't fit..maybe thats what you wanted, but i'd rather see them brought down a little.

Second, I feel like the axis of the face is a little skewed...a few degrees clockwise rotation might be a help to balance an otherwise nicely symmetrical shot.

Otherwise, i love it...one of the best i've seen here in a long time.

Thank you for your comments. Yah he tilted his head to the right, I asked him to look straight, I didnt notice that thanks for pointing it out Shall I turn down the exposure to the eyes a bit? Thanks for liking the tones.

I'd have to agree with Steve. I love the image, but I do wonder if the eyes are just a little bit too sharp.

I struggle with sharpness balance on some of my 'tonal' images. Sometimes I feel that I oversharpen where a little bit of softness may benefit better in the overall balance of the photo. If this was my image, I would have edited it the same way, funnily enough!

I can't help it. I love details. I like how his eyes 'pop' with the sharpness, albeit a little too much.

I'm so confused!!

I didn't help you, did I.

I love this shot and respectfully disagree with others re: sharpness/angle of the eyes. I think you've done a great job with the tones/colour/warmth/DOF. I wouldn't change a thing.
Would be good if you attached the post mods you made.

Absolutely love it! I love the muted colors and the processing. They eyes are so sharp and really stand out which draws me in the photo. I also like the DOF and the POV. A great portrait! Well done!
