Families & Children - Nicole Hanna Photography More from the shoot.

I was trying to step away from pets and macro for a while, so decided to play around taking shots of a friend's daughter. This was one of my favorites, trying to create a bit of interest to what could be (and hopefully isn't) a bland holiday posed and contrived photo. Just wondering if the interest is there or how there is room for improvement. I'd prefer to know more about your opinions in regard to composition than post-processing, since processing is such an individual preference.

Nikon D90
Tamron 90mm Macro f/2.8
Speedlight SB-600 flash
Shutter Speed 1/100
Aperture f/ 6.3

Thanks.
