Default Snow!

I'm very new to the whole photography thing and would appreciate any feedback. I don't know much about the settings on my camera so I just pick something on the dial and have at 'er!

lol for someone just pushing buttons, it's very cute! You used the rule of thirds (inadvertently?) well. For criticisms - the focus on his eyes is not tack sharp, but without seeing your settings, it's tough to tell why. I'm guessing your shutter speed would have been pretty high since you look to be in bright light, so could be your f-stop is a little low, or could just be bit of a miss. Composition - the red truck in the background is very distracting. Also, I'm aware that there are specific ways to shoot in snow so it doesn't turn grey, but we don't get a lot of snow here, so I don't know what they're all about...you could probably google that info pretty easily, though. Are you doing any processing on this? If so, I would brighten a bit, paint the blown spot on his nose, and sharpen the eyes.
