Hi everyone. I just joined this site and forum to learn tips and techniques and get some feedback. I just did my first wedding photo job last week and it turned out well. I am an underwater videographer, but have been wanting to get into photography so when I was approached to do some weddings, I managed to get the funds together for a Canon T3i.
This is one of the shots I like a lot. Any critiques are appreciated! Thanks |

I like the action in the shot it is nice and dynamic. Two comments, first the image might have been better if you had rotated your body to not include the people in the background (if possible) as they are distracting from your main subject. Second the image seems a bit flat, have you done any PP? Perhaps bumping up the contrast as well as trying to separate the subject even more from the background (smoothing out or a change in levels).
Nice shot, TFS |

Nice shot! I love your lighting...but agree with pwkicker97, if you could cut the people out of the background would have looked a lot nicer. I don't know what settings you used, but if you used a quicker shutter speed you would have stopped the blur on the bubbles...apart from that i really like this photo

Agree with the others about the background being busy, but I think you could (with a LOT of patience) clone out the person on the left and the thing coming out of her back. Also, definitely bump up the shutter speed. Cool shot, though!
