Default Fall of the Dawn

Hi guys this is my first time here so be nice... I’m kidding feel free to be brutal and critique any areas that you guys think could be improved. I took this shot at my girlfriend’s house. The idea was to mix some rustic elements with the fragile and sweet pose and expression of the model.

It was shot with my Canon 50d
The specs are:
1/15 sec
F8.0
ISO 800
Lighting: 40cm softbox on camera right fitted with 580XII Canon Flash, trigered by a Cactus radio flash transmiter.

Overall, I think the result is effective. It has a rather vintage vibe, probably because the subject's skin tone is similar to the wall and step (like sepia tone but with pink), but then brought to life with elements of other colour in the foreground and background. The composition is also good, with a decent balance between model and scene.

Criticisms? I think you could have tried to get her face in sharper focus, although at 1/15s that means she has to hold very still. A reflector to the left of the frame may also have helped, throwing some subtle light back into the shadows.

Overall though a good photo (although I might have picked one of your alternative shots to do more processing and present as a showcase picture instead).
