Default Baby Love

Curious what you all think about the edit here. Too dark? And the composition? I would have liked it better if the baby's head wasn't chopped, but it was a fleeting moment I didn't have enough time to back up for... Would a different angle have given the image more emotion?

I think this is a lovely shot as is. I do not mind the partial faces at all.

It is a huge, huge picture though, had to scroll sideways etc to see it all!

oops I re-sized it as 750 for the shorter side instead of the longest, sorry about that...

I love the composition, however, i think you should have compensated for the large amount of ambient light. A lower ISO maybe.

I don't think it's too dark at all. There are lovely colours in there. I love pinks and greens together for baby girls.

The girl and the baby's head are pretty much facing opposite ways so I think it would have been impossible to get a "better angle" out of this moment. If you went lower down to get more of the girl's face, all you would have seen of the baby was a chin.

That is absolutely beautiful. If I was the parents, this is one of the photos I would always cherish.

Love it. Particularly because of the color tones and the beautiful light. Though not perfectly ideal, I don't mind the head crop, mostly because the focus of the image isn't so much the baby herself, but the gentle kiss of the other girl.

I'm curious as to how a slightly lower angle would have made this feel as right now it has the standard (to me) "standing her looking down at a 3/4th angle" feel to it. But you might have lost seeing the baby's face as well as you do now, so not sure.. but I'd have tried it (if possible of course!)

In the end, I think the parents will love this so that's all that matters. They'll love you for this moment.
