Default 4 Photos need Critique

Hi All,
Since I noticed I broke forum rules by posting too many images, I've edited this post. Need some help again. Here's the link to the set of photos I'm needing critique on. Here is the link to the set of photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/gomez-f...7628266664359/

All exif info is under each photo in the set.

Images 1769 # 1807 will be photos we will give out as favors in frames.
Image 1742 will be the thank you note.

Image #1801 will be the 16x20 canvas.

I'm really interested in hearing critiques especially on #1801 since it will be blown up.

The rule for critique is one image/24 hours, so the mods will probably edit this post.

I'm not sure I understand your camera settings. Why shoot at such a small aperture and high ISO? Are you selecting your own settings, or using something like "portrait" mode?

Of the images posted, I like the 1807 the best. The over-the-shoulder playfulness works. I think they could all use just a little warming in color temperature.

I actually didn't take these. The photographer did, so I can't explain why the settings are what they are. Should I go ahead & edit the post to reflect one photo, and upload the other ones over the next few days? I'm new here & want to follow the rules.

I probably would.

Not sure why your photographer shot such a high ISO and f/stop.

Alright, so here's a more indepth critique. I think the ISO is too high and the f/stop is too high. While she is in a very complimentary pose, the high f/stop puts too much in focus (i.e. the background). So she's competing with the background for attention even if she is the main subject of the portrait.

I would've shot at a lower ISO and definitely a lower f/stop to blur out the background a bit. That would've drawn the eye more towards the subject.

I'll agree with this. I'd also say that if the photographer is using a flash, as it appears they are, they might want to gel the flash a little warmer. You have these warm earthy tones of the trees and leaves and the subject really stands out as being overly cool compared to the environment.

Default Can Glare Be Removed?

Thanks everyone. I've made notes for myself too,.. One more question. The photo that I think needs the most adjustment is #1742. Can the glare on her face be removed, or because of the settings used, nothing else can be done? If so, what is the best way to do that? If not, I'll just select a different photo. I just liked the playful nature of this one. Thanks again, Maritza

Her face looks way overexposed. You probably won't be able to bring that back.

ISO and f/stop was too high and shutter speed was too slow so it let in too much light and blew out the face.
