Looking for feedback on the black and white conversion. Should it be sharpened? Add more contrast?

I'm not a pro but I reckon it could do with more contrast. Looks a little washed out/skin looks dull. But it depends what look you're after I guess!

I agree with EmyB in the statement that it feels a little washed out and could do with more contrast.

The problem with shooting at such a low aperture is your point of focus is needle thin. That being said, the brother on the right of the frame, his eyes don’t seem to be as sharp as the younger brother.

With the boys being set up far enough away from the hedge/trees, you probably didn’t need to go to the widest aperture your lens would allow.

But, with a bit of contrast (and if you have Lightroom) and clarity, it may fix it.

It really it a cute photo. Good job.

The pose and overall lighting are good. Personally, I would have decreased the ISO quit a bit and shot around F4 or so. Still would have gotten some decent bokah but would have had both kids in focus. Try it out. I think you will still like the backgrounds and you'll like the fact that everyone's eyes are crystal clear (assuming the focus point is properly selected). Good job overall.

I like it overall. Only comment I would make is I like the light in the hair on the left boy but something about that triangle shaped light on the cheek throws me off just a bit.

Thank you! I will give the ISO shift a shot.
