Default B&W conversion?

I just wanted feedback on this photo in general and if its a good black and white conversion or not.

I like it. The contrast looks fine to me. But wait for more responses from more experienced people. I'm also in the process of learning digital B&W.

I like it. i'm not a pro though. The only thing I would fix is her nose. Looks a boogey.

Also not a pro but I really like the B&W. Love how you've made her eyes pop. I'm trying to figure out how to do that actually, do you know of any tutorials etc?? Is it just selective brightening and sharpening of the eyes or something??

Also understand about the booger! One of my favourite photos of my son he has crumbs in the corner of his mouth hahaha.

A little hot to me in a few places, Julia. What's your histogram say?

I do all that kind of editing in lightroom, and yes using selective brightning. I also use the iris inhance brush, and than sharpen sometimes as well.

You got me worried there, I only look at histograms when shooting, and totally forget to look at one during editing! So I did look and nothing is clipped. Is it the eyes that you think are a little hot?
